Sharing a little story about HA'AWI...

HA'AWI opened its doors in November 2004.

We have such priviledge to count with the leadership of Kumu Hula Mailelauli'i Delgado.

With a strong core of committed members and the guidance of the Lord, Kumu Maile leads this Halau within the Biblical Truth.

Thorughout this time the Lord has opened a tremendous vessel to touch hearts with our dance.

What is HA'AWI all about?

Hula Art, around the World inspiration is our motto.
We acknowledge the "Kuleana"(responsibility) to  pass along a heritage and we strongly feel that Hula is to be showcased around the world. At our Halau, we have a unique opportunity to share the love for our Creator and the truth of God's majesty.

"E HA'AWI mai" means to share. This is what we do best at our Halau, sharing hula...

We teach all ages from 1 yr old and young 95 to learn this beautiful Dance of Hawai'i and Tahiti and everything that relates to it; Language, Mythology, Chants, Creation of Implements and more.

If you want to learn who our Director and Kumu Hula is click on "KUMU HULA" tab.

What can you expect from HA'AWI?

To learn a culture that sets its precedents in story telling through the beautiful hand motions and discipline of Hula.

We praise our Creator with the gift of dancing.

HA'AWI involves students in an annual performance held at Gallo Center for the Arts to showcase what has been learnt throughout the year.

We offer the opportunity to be part of various performances in Festivals, Churches and private events.

We also have the privilege of bringing to our students unique Hula Workshops with the best of the Kumu Hula from Hawai'i and the Polynesia.
